Dorkery

I made the dorkiest phone call I've ever made this morning. It went something like "Bil, this is the dorkiest phone call I'm ever going to make. Warren Ellis is taking over Astonishing X-Men from Joss next year it's like Christmas and my birthday all rolled together into one big holiday of dorky goodness."

Except maybe with fewer pauses for breath.

In other news, I wrapped two people in duct tape today, spent time with Kelly, Jake and the kids, got my hair colored and cut by world's awesomest hairdresser (she's my cousin, I may be a bit biased), and thanks to better living through chemistry did NOT have any sort of anxiety attack even though biology suggested it was likely.

Life is good. Now if I just knew what I was going to wear to this wedding. And if it didn't have to be packed into a suitcase beforehand (my love of looking pretty does not extend to copious amounts of ironing).

They Tried to Make Me Go to Rehab...

I'm the last person in the world to actually buy Amy Winehouse's CD, but y'all, Amazon delivered yesterday and I want to have sex with this woman's voice.

OK, that was maybe a visual you didn't need.

At any rate, "Rehab" is only the tip of the swingin' iceberg on this one, so grab it if you've the inclination.

In other musical news, I skipped tap class due to inclement air (ozone day! No aerobic activity for me!) and instead met my bestest friend at a pub to listen to Misplaced. Sure, I'll see them every weekend during Fest, but it's a kick to see what folks look like in twentieth century clothing.

(Just when you think my musical taste couldn't get any more random, I'll tell you that the Sex Pistols were also in the big box o'music that I ordered this week. Hey, you never know when you'll get bored.)

At any rate, I've been severely lacking in sleep, between Potter (finished Sunday at 11:45 pm) and the Lovely Gentleman. I need my beauty sleep.

This Just In:

Cities on the East Coast are further apart than they seem.

Still Busy, But Amused

Hi! I come bearing the link Link of Friendship. I have neglected my poor little blog, and for that I am sorry, but I have been away from my home for whole days (and nights!) at a time lately. Emails remain unanswered, book release plans remain unconfirmed, I remain unbelievably happy. Also, a trip to Delaware has popped up in early August, which means yet another weekend with no blogging.

So! My peace offering to you is this webcomic. It's by the lovely lady who did Queen of Wands, and is drawn by the lovely gent who does Striptease. This particular strip takes place during the Firefly dream sequence, and effectively brought me to my happy place.

I'll be in my bunk.

Non-Hiatus

Apparently I'm better at going on hiatus when I don't intend to.

I'm still around, and life is still good. The car had a minor Issue to the tune of $700, but thankfully I had the savings to deal with it (those words? SO sweet). The mom is once again out of town this weekend, and I'm having a friend in from out of town, so equilibrium has been achieved. We're seeing the new Potter movie tonight, then throwing a BBQ tomorrow night, and I need to find some ambition STAT because my day off is becoming a "sit around the house and forget that you have errands to run" day.

In conclusion, still alive, not on hiatus, just freaking busy! Hope all is fun with you!
